Dancing in the Garden, Historical Cinderella 2013

This costume premiered at last year's Sakura Con, 2013. 

When i created this cosplay, i wanted to go with a slightly 1700s inspired design. I made the traditional Cinderella "side poofs" with a similarity in shape to what you see used with the wide sided hip cages (called a pannier.) Even though i was going with historical inspiration, i still wanted to have the fantasy well showcased, so i used a light and airy white fabric that when you look at up close looks like it was woven by tiny fairies X) The front is bejeweld in crystals and embroidery (hard to see in these photos, I am hoping for a good photoshoot for this one to showcase the sparkles!) The underskirt is an ombre blue that is just the prettiest! It was perfect for the touch of blue i wanted.
